On play.pokemonshowdown.com, the extension reads the battle you are watching or playing (the Pokémon on the field, their HP, boosts, field conditions, and your own team's stats) to compute damage numbers. This happens in your browser. Battle data is not sent to us or to anyone else.
To guess an opponent's likely set, the extension downloads public usage statistics from data.pkmn.cc and championsbattledata.com. These requests carry only the format and Pokémon being looked up, never your battle, account, or identity.
The calculator at vgccalc.app runs in your browser. Without an account, your pasted team is never uploaded. To show sprites and suggest opponent sets, your browser requests images from play.pokemonshowdown.com and usage statistics from data.pkmn.cc (served by pkmn.github.io) and championsbattledata.com. Like any web request, these services and our host, GitHub Pages, can see your IP address and browser details under their own privacy policies. We receive none of it.
Without an account, teams you save to your box are stored in your browser only (localStorage) and never uploaded; delete them from the box or by clearing site data.
Signing in is optional and only syncs your team box across devices. You sign in with Discord or Google; we never see your password. If you sign in, we store your account id, the email address and display name your provider shares, and the teams you save (name, format, and Showdown paste text). Teams already in your browser's box move into your account when you first sign in. This data is held by our database host, Supabase, and kept until you delete it. Other users can never read your teams.
From the account menu you can export all your teams as a Showdown backup file, sign out (your synced teams stay in your account), or delete your account, which permanently deletes it and every synced team. Your sign-in session is kept in your browser's local storage, not a cookie.
The extension is free, has no accounts, and stores nothing. No analytics, no tracking, no ads, no selling or sharing of data. The website sets no cookies, and stores nothing about you on a server unless you sign in.
